Spring 2017 Give a Day for Hunger Event Numbers

Last week was the Spring 2017 Give a Day for Hunger event at our Volunteer Center in Elizabethtown.  The purpose of this event, which is held both in the spring and fall, is to fill bags of food for the BackPack Program.  This program provides weekend food for children living in poverty across Central Kentucky to ensure they have something to eat while school is not in session.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out last week to join in the fight against childhood hunger! Regardless of how long you were able to stay, or the task you performed, know that you made a difference in someone’s life.  Below is a summary of your success…
