Giving Societies

Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland

Every donation to Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland is an investment into the lives of neighbors across our 42 county service area. In fact, 98% of every donation directly funds feeding programs to alleviate hunger across Kentucky’s Heartland.

Our giving societies allow us to recognize individuals who sustain us through their donations in a variety of ways. By providing reliable gifts that we count on from month to month or year to year, members of our giving societies help us reach thousands of individuals and families across Kentucky’s Heartland with nutritious, healthy food to help them thrive.

The Supper Club

Donors who commit to monthly support are members of The Supper Club. These donors bring the gift of consistent investment to the table. Ongoing gifts enable Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland to plan more accurately for programs and to be proactive in realizing our vision of providing equitable access to nutritious food so no one goes hungry. Please contact Melissa Neary at mneary@feedingamericaky.org for more information.

Rita Jenkins Society

Donors who provide yearly support of $5,000 or more are members of our Rita Jenkins Society. One of the original founders of Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland, Rita recognized a need in the community and stepped up to meet it. Members of this giving society choose to follow in her footsteps with impactful donations of $5,000 or more during each year. Please contact Stephanie Hester at shester@feedingamericaky.org for more information.

Dottie Hansen Society

Alongside Rita, Dottie worked to create Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland because she saw a need and had a vision to meet it. Donors who designate planned gifts are members of the Dottie Hansen Society because, like Dottie, they leave a legacy of caring for those in their community that face hunger. Planned Gifts are contributions donors make to the food bank in their will, estate, trust, or other type of deferred gift as part of a bequest or other form of financial planning. These specialized gifts often require the involvement of the donor’s accountant or legal advisor. Please contact Stephanie Hester at shester@feedingamericaky.org for more information.
