Join us at Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland (FAKH) for a frightfully fun volunteer event as we work together to Scare Away Hunger! On Saturday, October 25, 2025, we’re inviting community members to a family-friendly Halloween celebration with sweet treats, Halloween tunes, and the chance to make a difference by packing food for our neighbors facing hunger.

We invite everyone to show off their favorite family-friendly costume, and don’t forget your closed-toed and closed-heel shoes!

Tickets are free but a $5 donation per person is encouraged. Get ready for fun, fright, and the chance to make a meaningful impact this Halloween!

Thank you to our friends at Hardin County Farm Bureau for supporting this event!

  • Family-friendly costumes are welcomed, but we ask our community to avoid costumes that suggest violence or gore.
  • Closed-toed and closed-heel shoes are required of all volunteers for your safety. Footwear such as Crocs and house shoes are not acceptable.
  • Children ages 7+ are able to attend with a parent, guardian or group chaperone.
  • For the safety of our volunteers and staff, we require volunteers with special needs to be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
  • We require at least one adult/guardian/chaperone per every 5 children between the ages of 7-11, for children ages 11+ we require one adult/guardian/chaperone per every 10 children.

As the air turns crisp, many of us are busy with fall activities. But for too many families in Kentucky, the scariest thing they face isn’t ghosts or goblins – it’s hunger.

This October, while you’re stocking up on goodies, consider sharing the harvest with those in our community struggling to put food on the table. No one should have to face the real-life fear of food insecurity, and together we can make a difference.
