Food Rescue
Many of our neighbors are turning to food banks to provide for their families, while high-quality food is wasted as extra produce and groceries sit in fields and warehouses. In fact, 92 billion pounds of food are wasted each year in the United States—equivalent to 145 billion meals.
We’ve partnered with food manufacturers, grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers to rescue food and deliver it to our network of agency partners, keeping quality food out of landfills. Last year, FAKH and its partners rescued and redistributed 5.4 million pounds of food directly to people facing hunger.
With your support, we can reduce food waste and deliver more healthy, fresh food to those in need.
Every Item of Food Counts.
At the end of the day, we can’t feed our neighbors facing hunger without the help of community members like you.
We are happy to accept food donations from manufacturers, retailers, produce growers, distributors and community members. Want to drop off food at our Elizabethtown distribution center? View our daily hours here.
