If you’re like most Americans, you probably come home to a pile full of mail every day from people asking for money. They come from numerous organizations, often with worthy causes. 50 years ago it was a lot easier to know which organizations to trust, to know which ones were going to be good stewards of your money. Today, however, it’s not as simple and, unfortunately, these feelings of uncertainty often make us hesitant to donate at all.
This concern is something we at FAKH take very seriously. We make every effort to make sure we are being good stewards of all donations we receive, using these donor dollars in the way they would want – to provide food to those in need. As a result of these efforts, we have achieved a very high efficiency rate, something in which we are very proud.
98 Cents of Every $1 Donated Directly Supports Our Programs
That means only 2% of every donation we receive is used to support overhead and administrative costs – well below the national average. So the next time you receive a donation request from our organization, whether you choose to donate or not, know that the funds entrusted to us by our supporters are going towards the fight against hunger.
