REALTOR® Association of Southern Kentucky distributes more than 664,884 servings to southern Kentucky families.

REALTOR® Association of Southern Kentucky (RASK) and Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland (FAKH), teamed up to distribute a total of 664,884 servings of food to southern Kentucky families. The food was delivered to 10 school districts in April, including Warren County, Bowling Green Independent, Allen County, Barren County, Caverna Independent, Butler County, Edmonson County, Simpson County, Logan County and Russellville Independent.

Now in its 12th year, REALTORS® Hope for Hunger, led by members of RASK and in partnership with FAKH, gathered food and fund donations over a two-day campout to raise awareness and fight hunger in southern Kentucky. A total of 664,884 servings of food were distributed to school resource centers in southern Kentucky this spring and over 5.3 million servings of food have been donated to date.

“We are very excited about the amount of funds and food we were able to raise this year,” said Amy Rush, REALTORS® Community Service Committee Chairperson. “This is why we continue to partner with FAKH – we know this distribution is making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.”

“It’s amazing to see different organizations and partnerships–like between RASK, FAKH, and WKU–come together to make such an impact for families in need of support.” said REALTORS® President, Kelley McGough.

This is RASK and FAKH’s fourth year of partnership together for this distribution.

“Each year, we see growth in this distribution.” Sizemore said. “RASK’s impact is significant for families in these communities, and we are grateful for their continued support and partnership.”
