FAKH Participating in 2017 KY Gives Day

For the fourth year in a row, Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland will be participating in  Kentucky Gives Day, a 24-hour online giving campaign to benefit nonprofits across the state.  This year’s even will begin at midnight (EST) on April 18th and run through 11:59 p.m.

Once again, every donation we receive will be used to support the BACKPACK PROGRAM and the fight against childhood hunger. This program supports over 5,000 children in our region by providing weekend food to those who lack a stable source of food when school meals aren’t available.

Last year our amazing supporters donated over $5,000 during KY Gives Day.  Coupled with the matching donation from our Board of Directors, the BackPack Program received nearly $10,000 in support.  Our Board of Directors has one again committed to a matching donation,  meaning that your support will go TWICE as far!

While April 18th is the true KY Gives Day, you can make a donation anytime between now and April 18th.  Here are 3 things you can do today as we prepare for the big day next week:

     1) Mark April 18th on your calendar as a reminder to donate

     2) Save the link for the FAKH DONATION PAGE

     3) Spread the word! Encourage your family and friends to support FAKH on April 18th.

The Central Kentucky Community Foundation is a regional partner of the 2017 Kentucky Gives Day.  For additional information please visit www.kygives.org/ckcf.
