Luckily, our partner agencies are there to help provide some sense of stability in the lives of these individuals. One of these agencies is the Aaron McNeil House in Hopkinsville, KY.
The Aaron McNeil House is just one of our partner agencies available to those in Christian County who face these kinds of uncertainties. Staff members, like Tamara Standard, work hard each day to serve those in their community.
Tamara, originally from Stratford, Connecticut, has worked at the Aaron McNeil House for seven years and is responsible for assessing clients, supervising volunteers, and writing grants to secure funding. When asked what inspired her enter the non-profit sector, Tamara responded “I’ve always had a desire to help others. I really enjoy seeing the smile on a client’s face when one of our programs relieves some stress in their life.”
Tamara and the other staff members provide more than just food assistance. Clients can also receive crisis relief and adult education services through the organization. “Life can be difficult at times. I’m glad we’re able to ease some of those pressures,” said Standard.
