We are participating in Kentucky Gives Day again this year. The event, a 24-hour online giving campaign, begins at midnight (EST) and continues through 11:59 p.m. on May 14. All of the funds raised by FAKH will be used to support the BackPack Program and the fight against child hunger. Walmart, Sam’s Club, Feeding America, and FAKH are partnering once again in the sixth annual “Fight Hunger. Spark Change.” Campaign to help combat hunger in the lives of local families, April 22 – May 20. Customers can participate by doing one of the following:
- For every participating product purchased at U.S. Walmart stores, Sam’s Clubs or on Walmart.com during the campaign, the supplier will donate the monetary equivalent of at least one meal ($0.10) on behalf of a Feeding America member food bank, up to applicable limits.
- Donate money to your local Feeding America food bank at participating Sam’s Club and Walmart stores in the U.S.
- Donate at www.feedingamerica.org/Walmart
The 27th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive will be held on Saturday, May 11. This is the country’s largest single-day food drive and provides residents with an easy way for you to donate food to those in need. Customers can leave their donation of non-perishable goods next to their mailbox before the delivery of the mail on Saturday, May 11. Letter carriers will collect these food donations on that day as they deliver mail along their postal routes and distribute them to local programs.
