Walmart & Sam’s Club Fight Hunger. Spark Change Campaign returns to Kentucky’s Heartland

For the 11th straight year it’s time for Walmart and Sam’s Club stores to mobilize in the fight against hunger in Kentucky’s Heartland!

As you wander through the aisles, gathering your groceries, the choice of a specific brand or a simple click at the register isn’t just filling your cart – it’s also stocking the shelves of your local food bank.

In 2022, 44 million people in the United States were food insecure – the highest in a decade. Partnerships like this are crucial to helping food banks, like Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland, keep food on the plates of our neighbors.

From April 1 – 29, there are three simple ways to join the fight:

But how does this help my neighbors? That’s a great questions! Using zipcode data, donations made online or in stores throughout Kentucky’s Heartland and our 42 counties will help our local neighbors. In our region 1 in 7 people experience food insecurity but with every $1 raised through this campaign, FAKH will be able to provide at least 8 meals to our fellow Kentuckians facing hunger!

Our biggest thanks to Walmart and Sam’s Club, and to you, for supporting our vision of a Kentucky where no one goes hungry! Now let’s turn our shopping carts into vehicles of change!
